Welcome to the Rod Library of the University of Northern Iowa. The Library's mission is to provide equitable access to information resources in support of the study and research needs of UNI students, faculty, and staff. The Rod Library is committed to providing superior services and instruction focused on effectively locating, evaluating, and using information.
The Library provides access to collections which include about 970,000 books and periodicals, 565,000 government documents, 800,000 items on microform, 41,200 maps, 16,000 sound recordings, and archival materials, as well as extensive holdings of electronic resources. The Library subscribes to about 3,700 journals in print and electronic form and 27 newspapers.
The librarians, staff, and student assistants are here to help you find the resources or locations you need. Ask for assistance at the Reference Desk located on the 2nd floor near the main entrance.
